Pacific Adventure Hostel

A Cool Hostel in a Hot Beach Town

Bucerias, Riviera Nayarit (Near Puerto Vallarta), Mexico

Puerto Vallarta, a lively city of about 300,000, was first introduced to the world in 1964 as a village in John Huston’s “Night of the Iguana”. “Vallarta”, as the locals call it, is only 10 miles away from the Pacific Adventure Hostel, easily accessible by bus for about $1us. With its many great eateries, art galleries, night clubs and beautiful beachfront promenade (‘Malecon’), you will certainly want to make the easy half hour trip into “PV” now and then during your stay. On your way back to the Pacific Adventure Hostel you will often see other beach lovers heading in our direction, as “Vallartans” and regular visitors to the area know that one of the nicest, widest beaches in ‘Greater Puerto Vallarta’ is actually in Bucerias!

Puerto Vallarta airport (PVR), just 10 miles from Bucerias (about 15 minutes by taxi), is one of Mexico’s major Pacific gateways, with direct and non-stop flights to many cities in the US and Canada and convenient connections from many cities in Europe and South America. Flights to PVR take just two or three hours from many US cities and only four to five hours from most Canadian cities:
