Pacific Adventure Hostel
A Cool Hostel in a Hot Beach Town
Bucerias, Riviera Nayarit (Near Puerto Vallarta), Mexico
Bucerias (“Place of the Divers”) is a friendly and fortunate fishing town on the north shore of the beautiful and richly eco-diverse Bahia de Banderas (“Bay of Flags”), equadistant to Puerto Vallarta, Punta Mita and Sayulita. These days the fishermen of the town and their families, as well as many other welcoming local folk, gracefully share their charming “pueblo” with a growing number of visitors and expat residents who have discovered this slice of bucolic tropical paradise. A visiting university professor recently took a look out across the town from our roof deck and suggested it should perhaps be a “World Heritage Site”!
This part of Mexico certainly is gaining more and more positive notice these days, as Bucerias and the beach communities along the coast in this region of (including Nuevo Vallarta, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, Punta Mita, Sayulita, San Pancho and Lo de Marcos, to name a few) become known collectively as the “Riviera Nayarit” (named after the state the area is in.) This moniker is well-suited to the relaxing and sunny atmosphere along this spectacular stretch of shoreline, with its miles of gorgeous, warm-water beaches, palm-fringed bays, colorful towns, and now, the Pacific Adventure Hostel!
